Founded in 1921, Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who provide volunteer service to their communities. Almost 100,000 Soroptimist’s in about 120 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community–based and international projects benefiting women and children.

Due to the success of the 2007 Bras For A Cause fund raiser, Soroptimist of North Kitsap was able to donate funds to the Harrison Hospital Foundation as seed money for the planned healing garden in the Oncology Department. 

President, Pat Van Diest, awards a check from Soroptimist of Greater North Kitsap to James Pledger, Executive Director, and Valerie Youngren, Director of Development & Community Relations, of Hospice which will be used for their In-School Grief Counseling, assisting  children and teens in coping with loss.

Soroptimist of Greater North Kitsap supports the work of Stand Up For Kids, a national organization helping homeless and “at risk” teens to meet their basic needs.
