Text Box: Bras For A Cause 2009
Was a Huge Success

Many thanks to everyone who participated in Bras For A Cause—2009. Because of you we were able to raise in excess of $21,000 for local charities!

The Fund An Item auctions raised $4000 for the Comfort baskets. This represents approximately 53 baskets to be given to cancer patients at Harrison Medical Center.

And more than $800 was raised for backpacks to be distributed by Stand Up For Kids. These backpacks will be filled with school supplies and weekend snacks for kids in our community who need a little extra help.

The Beneficiary Committee is working on guidelines and recommendations for distribution of the remaining proceeds.

We are currently soliciting applications for the Women’s Opportunity Award. This is a financial grant to be made to a woman who is primary bread winner for her family and also attending either college or a vocational program.
